Taroudant
Surrounded by two mountain ranges, the Haut-Atlas and the Anti-Atlas, Taroudant offers a sublime panorama. The city is recognizable with its long ocher-colored ramparts which gives it a certain resemblance with Marrakech. Taroudant is also know for its famous « place Assarag », gathering point for the medina residents.
Taroudant is a very nice city to live and to visit with a nice climate throughout the year. You will be able to walk in the streets of its medina and to discover the many stalls of the moroccan artisans. You can visit Taroudant by foot, with a horse drawn carriage, or with the most popular mean of transport : the bicycle.
Around Taroudant
After leaving the medina and its ramparts, you will be fascinated by the countryside, between mountains and green valleys. Taroudant can be the point of departure for many treks.

Among the places to visit, the Tiout oasis worth the detour for its beautiful palm grove. Till today, a few families lives there, growing wheat, barley and carob tree. Nature lovers will walk across the countryside and will discover the hidden treasures of the region. We can also mentionned the apiary of Inzerki, which is 500 years old and one of the biggest in the world, or the city of Taliouine, famous for its safran production.
Hiking tours could be organized across the surrounding mountains and also through the medina of Taroudant.
